It is a great honor and privilege for me to represent the National Bank of Cambodia, APRACA’s current chairman institution, as new Chairman of APRACA, succeeding the late H.E. Mr. Pal Buy Bonnang.

This is my opportunity and privilege to convey a message expressing my gratitude and appreciation to the member institutions of General Assembly of APRACA for electing Bangladesh Bank as the vice-chairman for the next biennial 2012-2014.

Dear partners and donors of APRACA!
We stand on the threshold of the New 2012. Summing up the results of 2011, we can state with confidence that these were generally successful and positive for multilateral activity of APRACA. Meetings of the Executive Committee in Tehran and the Regional Forum-Consultation in Bangkok which was devoted to the completion of the APRACA-IFAD Project under FinPower Program, were effective and representative. Annual program activities of APRACA agencies provided their plans implemented in full.
This year APRACA will be to consolidate and develop its cooperation with IFAD and other donor partners, to define the strategic directions that will meet the requirements of time and the realities of member countries of APRACA, and form the core of APRACA and its Agencies activity in the coming years. All of these points and ideas to be reflected in the APRACA strategic development plan for further years.
A very important task is to identify innovative solutions in rural and agricultural finance to meet the emerging challenges, and their distribution among the members of APRACA.
APRACA and its Agencies should give a special attention to resolving specific needs of member institutions in learning, consulting and training.
We are confident that the extensive program of APRACA and its agencies in 2012 will be performed with good results and is enriched with new ideas and developments.
I heartily wish all members and our partners all the best in the business and personal life for the New Year.
