Dirgha Bahadur Rawal is Deputy Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank, having been appointed to the position in August 2026. He joined Nepal Rastra Bank in 2006 and has held various positions across the Bank, including in Bank and Financial Institution Regulation, Research, Currency Management and its branch offices Nepalgunj and Dhangadi. Before taking his current role, he served as the Executive Director of the Bank Supervision Department, where he directed the regulatory compliance and financial stability of the nation’s commercial banks. He also led Nepal’s specialized financial intelligence unit tasked with combating money laundering for five years. Mr.Rawal holds an MPhil in Management from the Kathmandu University School of Management (KUSOM), alongside master’s degrees in Business Administration (MBA) and M.A. in Economics from Tribhuwan University.
