AFRACA Appoints New Secretary General

The African Rural and Agricultural Credit Association (AFRACA) has announced the appointment of Ms. Ngo Bakang Anny Caroll as its new Secretary General. The appointment was made following the decision of the AFRACA Executive Committee, subsequently endorsed by the General Assembly on 27 October 2025, during the 8th World Congress held in Mombasa, Kenya. The African Rural and Agricultural Credit Association (AFRACA) has announced the appointment of Ms. Ngo Bakang Anny Caroll as its new Secretary General. The appointment was made following the decision of the AFRACA Executive Committee, subsequently endorsed by the General Assembly on 27 October 2025, during the 8th World Congress held in Mombasa, Kenya.

Ms. Caroll is a recognized professional in inclusive finance, rural development, and multilateral relations, bringing to AFRACA over fifteen years of institutional experience within the Secretariat. Over the years, she has contributed significantly to strengthening partnerships and implementing large-scale pan-African programme.

Ms. Caroll holds a Bachelor of Law degree and is a lawyer by profession, having graduated from the Kenya School of Law. She also holds two MBAs — one in Investment Planning and Portfolio Management and another in Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship.

APRACA Secretariat on behalf of its member institutions extends warm congratulations to Ms. Anny Caroll on her appointment as Secretary General of AFRACA and looks forward for continuing the long-standing collaboration with the African counterpart in advancing inclusive rural and agricultural finance across both the regions.
