The Asia-Pacific Rural and Agricultural Credit Association (APRACA) welcomes the continued cooperation among its member institutions. The Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives (BAAC), Thailand and Bhutan Development Bank Limited (BDBL), signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during the official visit of Thailand’s Prime Minister, H.E. Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, to Bhutan attended by BAAC President Mr. Chatchai Sirilai.
The MoU aims to strengthen financial cooperation and promote sustainable agricultural development through green financing, improved credit risk assessment systems, international money transfer services, and enhanced trade in agricultural products and community goods. This partnership is expected to expand access to financial services, create new business opportunities, and support farmers and small entrepreneurs in both countries.
APRACA recognizes the BAAC–BDBL partnership as a positive example of collaboration among its member institutions, demonstrating how regional financial cooperation and knowledge sharing can advance green finance, financial inclusion, and sustainable rural development across the Asia-Pacific region.
