Ms. Nguyen Thi Hang has been appointed as the new General Director of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies (VBSP), effective June 29, 2026.

Born on October 23, 1978, Ms. Hang is from Phuong Lieu Ward, Bac Ninh Province, Viet Nam. She holds an Advanced Diploma in Political Theory, a Master’s degree in Law, and Bachelor’s degrees in Judicial and State Administration and in Finance and Banking.

Ms. Hang joined the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies (VBSP) in May 2003 and has served in a number of key positions throughout her career, including Legal Secretariat Officer, Deputy Chief of the Office (and Acting Chief of the Office), Director of the Legal Department, and Director of the VBSP Ninh Binh Provincial Branch. From October 2020 to June 2026, she served as Deputy General Director of VBSP, where she was responsible for overseeing the bank’s finance, internal audit and control, and legal affairs.

On June 29, 2026, Ms. Hang was appointed by the Prime Minister of Viet Nam as General Director of VBSP, marking a significant milestone in her distinguished career with the Bank.
